This page describes the archive corpus and how provenance is tracked.

Provenance Log

Every file stored in research/sources/ is logged inresearch/sources/sources-log.md with download date, source URL, file type, and notes.

Local Archive Structure

• research/sources/ — primary documents and archival mirrors
• research/ocr/ — OCR text and Gemini OCR spot‑check JSON outputs
• research/ — research briefs, topic files, and evidence ledger

GitHub and Preservation Boundary

The buildable website, research syntheses, OCR text, and provenance ledgers are versioned in a private GitHub repository. The 391 MB primary-source payload in research/sources/ is deliberately excluded from Git except for its log and small attachment manifests. That payload must be preserved and checksum-verified separately when transferred to the dmoon Mac mini.

How to Verify

1. Find a file in research/sources/.
2. Look up the entry in research/sources/sources-log.md to see the download date and URL.
3. Cross‑read OCR text in research/ocr/ against the original scan when quoting.
